>>100243975>local law enforcementAs in your town? Sure. There's actually 0 here in a 100 mile radius. But we're just a small 40K people village. The govt. Decided to defund them since only a couple shootings a year doesen't warrant a police station upkeep.

Is /g/ a traditional book reader, or an e-reader?
>>100243304>>100244087I think some glowie got tasked with finding out all sites that distribute articles and books, specially those that RENOUNCE THE TALMUD
>>100245783I think so too, but they also stalk anons. I know this from experience and>inb4 schizobut I'd randomly see threads that mention insanely specific things I've been recently reading about. And I'm not mentally ill or anything, so every time this happens I go "huh" and search the archives and lo and behold, I'd usually only get like 5 results out of millions of posts. I think their modus operandi is to stalk real anons (not bots or shills), find out what they post and search about on the internet, then make threads about that. They do this both to scare people like me but also to find more information on dissenters (anti-elite, anti-jew, etc.) like you implied in your post.

It's gpt 4 turbo, just probably an upgrade. It has to be.
So what's the best uncensored AI that can be run locally?
>>100238503I saw someone say that gpt2-chatbot is probably a fine tuning of gpt2 (literally gpt2! which is 1.4B) to be a chatbot that interoperates with Q*. So the Q* network (which selects token outputs based on the probabilities gpt2 produces) is probably heavy, whereas the gpt2 network is obviously the lightweight partDon't know if its true thoughIt seems to me that its also probably somehow an agent because OAI has been turning towards agents for over a year now

What is it about CRTs that makes /g/ absolutely seethe? I thought you liked technology. Or are you just that afraid of having your purchasing decisions challenged?
>thinking your opinion is valid just because you used them back in the day.Unless you were actively adjusting your crts back in the day your opinion means nothing. With a bit of effort you can get alot of monitors looking better then factory
Most people complaining about crts being blurry arent even aware there are focus pots. You wouldnt expect a camera to take good pictures out of focus either
>>100245658>modern games and programs run at 16:9...its hit or miss.a ton of games support it, a ton of games dont.mostly US AAA junk doesnt support it, games made not in the US usually do, like Metro exodus and helldiversThere really is no reason not to support 4:3, its even easier then supporting ultrawide

>>100234504>Only televisions whinedThis is why CRTFaggots on /g/ are annoying. CRTs can't just be cool novelties to enjoy, they have to be better than flatscreen in every way or it threatens their identity to the point that they have to deny reality. Yes, CRT monitors can be loud whiny pieces of shit and the only people who would claim that is impossible are retarded.

>Focus on the problem rather than fighting the language>fast enough 98% of the time, and when it isn't it's super easy to just rewrite a piece of your code in c/rust
>>100235611For what I've seen it's kind of refreshing to write something in Python that just works without having to focus on language semantics, pointers and so on.But even for one that just recently started learning it I can see some flaws>modules get loaded as a whole instead of only the parts that are used>not having functions declarations doesn't help to keep your code tidy>builds takes a ridiculous amount of storage space>malfunctioning code runs and only throws an exception when it gets to the malfunctioning part, this makes bugfixes harder to doThe functions not having declarations bothers me to no end ffs. It's good to automatize boring tasks and gets the job done 95% of the times, but it's in no way a substitute to compiled languages.

I'm working in QA at a big bank and it sucks here. Data Engineering appeals to me. I'd like to break into this space or at least become a developer as I feel like I'm stagnating. I did not actually get a undergrad in CS but in Chemical Engineering. I'm trying to decide whether it would make sense to do a course based masters in CS because it seems like everyone has a CS degree here. On the other hand, it will be a big commitment that may not be worth it so I'm wondering if I should do that over upskilling through projects/LC. Do I really need a masters to become competitive with my background?
